The Farmhouse at Vineland Road

As the descendants of Mary Jane Johnson we cherish the legacy bestowed upon us by she and our grandfather Arthemon Johnson Sr. by which we are working to create a lasting resource for the birthing community at large. Serving community is our legacy. This Designated Landmark by the City of Orlando is soon on the way to becoming a national African American Cultural Heritage site.

Naynee's Healing Garden : All About That Place

All About That Place, Pacific Edition » featuring artlyn malio johnson
Sat Sep 28th 4:00pm - 5:00pm (PDT)  < Zoom link below >

Artlyn is a medicine maker, herbalist, and genealogist living in Berkeley,California. As a storykeeper of her family she shares traditional folkways of their unique ancestral heritage.

When I was in my teens and started the task of asking my elders about our histories, it would almost always end up in lessons about nature's bounty. Traditional medicines in use since time immemorial have sustained people all over the earth. My grandma was a healer and a midwife who used her yard as a medicine cabinet. Join me for a talk about the unique medicinal plants found in her Central Florida garden.
